Season update | SS ’16

A week ago spring has officially arrived. As you know the beginning of a new season means the start of new trends. Let’s have a look at my selection of ‘the must-follow trends for SS’16’.

For the SS16-collection some of the designers chose to get inspired by looking to the dawn of aviation and the safari-outfits back in the days. To create this urban experience they used a lot of beige and khaki.
To succeed this expedition you can wear a bush shirt, a field jacket and soms chinos.

This season we’re going back to the 50’s, to the Cuban collar that defines old-school charm and class.
When we fast forward this trend through a handful of centuries and balance out with some tailored pants, we’ve created a perfect alternative that’ll have you stand out from the crowd in a subtle and chic way.

Green has been a very popular colour for a few seasons now. Although this time the colour rises to the next level. This season we’ll see shades mixed together in any way possible.
If you’re not into these head-to-toe trends, you easily can combine them with some contrasting pieces.

This denim will ‘sound like heaven‘ to a lot of guys who get through their jeans at a rate of knots. It’s all about making your jeans look unique and lived in.
You can paint on them or you can make it look ripped, patched, bleached… all but destroyed.
So it’s time to forget what your mother said, distressed jeans are hot!

Sometimes we just want to loosen things up. That’s why this mix-it-up style hits the mark, where men can blend dressy with casual and sporty.
Combining formal or tailored suits with more down played items such as sneakers, T-shirts or jumpers, creates a great yet bold mix of casualness and formality.

Let me know what you think about these trends?
or maybe you’re a huge fan of another one…?!

Hope you enjoy!
